Konferenca o družbeni odgovornosti podjetij in sodelovanju z nevladnim sektorjem

Veleposlaništvo Združenih držav Amerike v Ljubljani, v sodelovanju z Britanskim veleposlaništvom in skupaj s partnerjema Centrom za poslovno usposabljanje pri Gospodarski zbornici in Zavodom Centrom za informiranje, sodelovanje in razvoj nevladnih organizacij Slovenije, vabi na konferenco na temo družbene odgovornosti podjetij, ki bo v petek, 26. septembra 2008, ob 9. uri v Ljubljani.

 

Na dogodku bodo sodelovali:

 

Celina Pagani Tousignant, predsednica in ustanoviteljica podjetja Normisur International,

 

Alan Trueman, strokovnjak za naložbe in poslovanje v državnem uradništvu Velike Britanije,

 

Darinka Drapal, direktorica in partnerica svetovalnice Consensus, ki deluje predvsem na komunikacijskem področju in

 

Anita Hrast, direktorica Inštituta za razvoj družbene odgovornosti.

This workshop will feature Celina Pagani Tousignant, President and founder of Normisur International, an international management consulting firm that specializes in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Community Involvement, Work/Life (W/L), Diversity, and Executive Coaching. Her goal is to create social change by building bridges between companies, communities and people from diverse backgrounds and forging relationships across cultural chasms. Her services include: executive briefings, manager and employee training, project management, strategy development, organizational change management, large systems intervention, facilitation, curriculum development, organizational assessment and speaker engagements.

Also featured will be Alan Trueman from North of England Excellence. Alan is a trained senior assessor in major quality disciplines, with several years experience as public sector advisor to Civil service and a cabinet office network. He has expertise through a variety of leadership roles in developing and implementing Business Excellence, Investors in People, ISO 9001, ISO14001, the new Training quality standard, Charter Mark, and other quality standards, to public sector, private and voluntary organizations. Through his voluntary involvement in various projects for “innovative delivery” of education and training, Alan is also a Corporate Social Responsibility and “building better business” practitioner.

Contributing to the conference will be Darinka Drapal, Director and a partner of Consensus. Consensus is a communications consultancy specializing in communication management of public issues and planning, implementation and evaluation of communication support for environmental, energy, physical planning, and other projects that affect the quality of life. With communication activities and involvement of the public in the decision-making processes, Consensus assures their public- and private-sector clients of socially responsible and effective implementation of their projects in Slovenia as well as in the broader region of South East Europe.

Anita Hrast, Director and a founder of the Institute for the Development of Social Responsibility will present the outcomes of the 3rd conference on social responsibility that was held in June, 2008.

Case studies will be presented by selected Slovenian SMEs that have already experienced successful partnerships with non governmental organizations.

A half-day session on September 26, 2008 will be devoted primarily to small and medium enterprises interested in Corporate Social Responsibility practices and benefits that can arise from the partnership between NGOs and SMEs.

The working language of the workshop will be English. Interpretation will not be provided.
As space is limited we will select participants on a "first come, first serve" basis, and will try to accommodate as many participants as possible. A final agenda will follow, as well as information about the venue.
